more secure world. Job Summary The Test Equipment and Environments
Center (TE&EC) exists within the Test Equipment Engineering
Directorate at Raytheon. TE&EC includes all the engineering
disciplines responsible for systems design and test on all Raytheon
products. Our engineers are responsible for all elements of the
development lifecycle for test including test requirements, test
system design, flight simulations, hardware-in-the-loop,
computer-in-the-loop, advanced engineering prototyping technology,
flight operations for manned and unmanned vehicles, environmental
testing, environmental characterization, and engineering laboratory
management. We are hands-on, designing with the latest technology
and tools, and integrate state of the art test solutions with the
most advanced engineering systems in the world. The Engineering
Prototyping & Fabrication department is seeking Electrical
Prototyping Test & Inspection Technicians to work in an engineering
environment to co-develop engineering hardware in accordance with
customer and internal requirements, as well as industry standards.
Candidates will collaborate with multi-disciplined design teams
across multiple projects to bring design concepts to fruition,
providing rapid engineering, fabrication, and prototyping solutions
throughout the entire product lifecycle. This position is an onsite
role. Responsibilities to Anticipate
- Test and inspect complex prototype electrical assemblies and
verify compliance to workmanship standards
- Rely on moderate to extensive experience to interpret drawings,
schematics, 3D models, written notes, and specifications
- Adapt methods and procedures to test, inspect, analyze, and
troubleshoot new hardware
- Apply advanced skills to test and inspect complex prototype
electrical assemblies
- Assist in electrical/mechanical engineering drawing peer
reviews to validate engineering design specifications in
development of producible prototypes
- Assess complex designs to ensure producibility,
maintainability, safety, and reliability
- Document and communicate test discrepancies and workmanship
concerns to customers and collaborate on design improvements
- Perform other task related duties as requiredBasic
Qualifications
- Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high
school training) with a minimum of 8 years relevant experience, or
HS Diploma and 10 years relevant experience, in an engineering
environment inspecting electrical assemblies in three or more of
the following areas: cables or wire harnesses, breakout boxes,
chassis, circuit card modifications, and racked electronic
equipment
- Previous work experience reading and interpreting electrical
and mechanical drawings and schematics.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued
security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as
only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.Preferred
Qualifications
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Effective interpersonal skills to develop report and build
positive relationships with both internal and external
customers
- Experience analyzing and interpreting schematics and drawings
to identify producibility issues
- Experience using Microsoft Office and Adobe software, including
3D-PDFs
- Motivated self-starter with the ability to use good judgement
and to work independently or collaboratively in an engineering
environment
- Associates degree in related field; OR military electronics or
avionics training, OR vocational or college program
certificate
- Ability to prioritize work, understanding of schedule and
budgets
- J-STD-001 Solder certification
- IPC 610 & 620 Acceptability certifications and fabrication or
test experience.
- American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certified Quality Inspector

- Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily
onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as

Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process.

- Tucson, AZ - The salary range for this role is 48,000 USD -
116,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate
representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several
factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the
role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work
experience, location, education/training, and key skills.Hired
