the Copper World Project, approximately 45 minutes southwest of
Tucson near Sahuarita, Arizona. ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES: Support the
senior geotechnical engineer with the feasibility study by
critically assessing the technical and financial aspects of the
project. Independently performs routine work such as: collecting
and assessing geotechnical data, identifying hazards, site
inspections and reports, coordinating with staff and consultants.
Perform geotechnical engineering and geological analyses and
calculations. Collect and assess monitoring data. Perform field
explorations, collection of samples, geologic reconnaissance, and
mapping. QA/QC geotechnical and geological data. Read technical
reports and provide summaries of the contents. Assist with
developing ground water monitoring plans and data collection
systems. Provide support on projects related to the hydrology and
geotechnical program. Complete workplace examinations identifying
safety hazards. Assist with planning for hydrology and geotechnical
data acquisition in support of the feasibility study. MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION: Bachelor of Engineering or Science in
Hydrology, Mining, Civil, Geological, Geotechnical, or related
engineering/science discipline is required. Previous experience
installing piezometers and borehole testing. Proficient with MS
Office, related software, and computers. Ability to travel to and
from sites is required. Strong communication and team skills are
required. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Previous experience at a mine
site is preferred. Experience with RocScience, MinePlan, Leapfrog
and other related software. NOTE: This job description is not
