Job Description:
An award-winning hospital in Tucson is seeking a new Emergency
Department Nurse Director.

new director will be joining an organization with a strong

The Emergency Department Nurse Director will report directly to the
Chief Nursing Officer (CNO). Supported by two managers and several
experienced charge nurses, the director will lead a skilled team in
a bustling department with over 50 full-time employees (FTEs).
The director's responsibilities include ensuring that nursing care
is both efficient and comprehensive. This role requires keeping
staff current with best practices and ensuring adherence to
hospital guidelines. Additionally, the director will collaborate
with the CNO to optimize operational and clinical efficiencies in
line with the hospital's standards and values. There will also be
opportunities to advance staff development through education and
quality improvement initiatives.
Tucson is renowned for its stunning sunsets, the Sonoran Desert
views, and some of the cleanest air in the nation. The hospital is
conveniently located near downtown, offering excellent Southwestern
cuisine and exploration opportunities. For nature enthusiasts, the
surrounding mountains provide numerous hiking trails. Tucson's
location in the southwest offers easy access to other cities and is
home to the University of Arizona.
